Back to Hospital

Well we are back in the hospital but hope for just a day or so for some fun test :-( They are trying to keep me comfortable but we will see how the night goes.
Boys are doing good, being boys and fighting all the time. Wow it's crazy with them two sometimes but it's awesome to see them smile. Tonight they are enjoying an awesome sleepover with Eric, Rhonda and Peyton while mom is having test.
Thank you all!

Long Week

Everyone please continue to pray this week it is going to be a long one. Yesterday I just had a bad funk day and staying around the house, thanks to Frank I did take a long walk for me which helped some. My father cut his hand yesterday and had 20 stitches but is doing okay. I was not feeling very well last night and they finally started me on an antibiotic for my infection which was getting pretty bad so I do feel better today. I have PT this morning downtown and both kids have appointments this afternoon. Wednesday I have another bladder test that I pray I pass. Then back to PT Thursday and nasty test Friday. But that all leads up to an awesome day of tailgating and football for Saturday with the boys and good friends!!!
Love you all and keep up the prayers!!!

Eric's Birthday, September 25, 2011

Had a great day celebrating Eric's birthday at Olive Garden with everyone. Thank you guys for giving me and the boys a ride so we could be there and thank you all for coming and watching the boys soccer game on Saturday. They enjoying having everyone there to watch.

Girl's Night Sept 24,2011

Had a wonderful girls night Saturday. It was much needed and we had a lot of laughs and good food. I thank each of you for coming and spending time with me, it meant the world! Love you all! And we will do it again soon!

My first steps

Well yesterday I got the Fixator off and it was the most painful and emotional thing I have ever done, but It is gone!!! Today I took my first steps with a walker and it was scary but awesome. I had some sore spots but nothing to bad!! It's late so I will update more tomorrow! Love u all!

Fixator removel, September 20,2011

Well it was a rough Start this morning but got to doctor finally and they removed the Fixator Bar, it was the
Most painful thing that at least I remember. They gave me laughing gas and that did nothing for me. It was a very painful and emotional experience but it is over and done. So I start PT Friday and this guy seems like he will have me up and walking in no time so we will see. Just have to trust them all !! The plan is to give PT for 2-3 weeks and then one more test on bladder before they do surgery, so I hope it heals the rest of the way!!
The boys and I enjoyed being able to snuggle and watch Some TV but they are still scares to touch me to hard. They will get use to it!!!
Thanks for all your prayers!

Prayer request

Ok forgot the most important, tomorrow I am suppose to get my bar off, they could tell me to go directly to PT or they could make me stay in the wheelchair another month in which then I would have the bladder surgery. So everyone please pray I can go to Frazier first, I need it bad. This hill is really getting hard to climb when it keeps going up all the time. I am ready to get back in control of my life and legs!!! Best shape of my life by July (40th) plus the triple crown races are coming up so everyone better know they are doing that with me!

Day at the farm

Spent most of the day at the farm with my awesome family! Can't ever explain to them in words what it means to me that they have really stepped up and taken care of the boys and I without even thinking about it. My sister and brother in law have really stepped up and handled things that I didn't even think of. It was great to set and watch them interact with Lonny and know they are going to be ok with all our help!!! We did a little shooting and fishing and then off I went to watch some football and enjoy good company and laugh while they finished fishing and playing some more in the creek. It is so peaceful out at the farm! I thank all my friends and family for all they do!!!

Go CARDS!

Great time at the Buckner's with some awesome friends and family!!!

Cardinal Football, September 18, 2011

Wow what an awesome game, about time we won!! Derek would have loved it. Having a wonderful visit with friends from out of town this weekend, don't know what we would do without everyone.
Boys had two soccer games, one on Friday night ( won, Garret had two goals and Ethan played awesome) then another game on Saturday in which we didn't win but they played hard, just not smart as Derek use to say.
Then we all headed to an awesome UofL/UofK party and enjoyed good food and wonderful friends. I got to sit out on the deck and watch the kids play backyard football and then watch the Cards win.
I am feeling pretty good these days just really tired of it all and ready to get this Fixator off on Tuesday, just hope the doctor has good news but we just have to wait and see. I just hope I can deal with what he tells me because it could be longer in the wheelchair and bladder surgery or on to PT and put off surgery which is good and bad since I am very uncomfortable with the bladder pain these days.
So I have plans with my family today at the farm and hope to have another great day. Love u all!
Best of all today is my awesome Nephew's birthday, love and miss you Brent. We are all so proud of you everyday! You are an amazing man and I pray both my boys can turn out half as good as you.

Thursday, September 15th

Had a good night with family last night, emotional but good. As most people already know I didn't past my bladder test which means surgery. Right now everything is on hold till next Tuesday 20th when I go to the Ortho and see what they say. So just keep praying they will let me start rehab immediately!
Went to visit everyone at work today, it was great to see everyone but hard at the same time. Just feeling a little overwhelmed these days, but as always take it one day at a time!

Monday, September 12th, 2011

Wow what a day! One of those that I wish someone could just come steal me away and I could just run away for a while. Got a lot of things done on the computer but just can't get my head up today. Tomorrow is my bladder test so I hope that brings better days especially since the doctor just called and said I have a nasty infection stirring due to the bladder again, so please keep your fingers crossed! Sorry not much with words today!

Thursday, September 8, 2011

Well even after a long day out still no sleep, so woke up crazy and upset again. Off to the Urologist mom and I go (I will be so happy when I can drive again) and after 1 1/2 hours in there we walked out to go to my Internal Medicine doctor in tears, she has not been involved since she was out of town the time I went there. She sat down for a long 1 1/2 hours of my past two months. After a lot of talking she figured out the problems I am having the pasted four days is withdraw of a pain patch that the nice doctor in the hospital had me go cold turkey on. The sleepless nights and the craweling skin and the trimmers in my hands. So I am back on a smaller dose of the medicine so she can slow me down instead of dropping me on my face. She has control of all my medicines now, nobody puts more then an IV fluid in me without her okay. Now the real question, when do I get my fix enough to sleep for a night, PLEASE BE TONIGHT!!!! So keep your fingers crossed and if you are up late at night or work nights (some friends know who they are) get on facebook chat or drop a text never know if I am there awake and going crazy by myself. It's actually been interesting who I have gotten in contact with these days!
Boys are doing good and both got a great Spelling Test back and reading. Their first soccer game is this weekend, if anyone ever wants to ride out and watch them drop me a text (you will see Derek in them on the field). Can't say the first game isn't going to be hard since Derek should be on the sidelines coaching (so please feel free to come and cheer me up) but don't worry he will be up On A Cloud watching us all. Love you all! Next Step on the Journey!!!

My First Night Out Wednesday, 09/07/2011

Well still no sleep at night so I got out of the house. First trip was with my mom and sister, we went to lunch and Kohl's to get the boys some clothes. It was nice to get out. Then after getting back home for a while and going crazy again got another offer to get out and decided what the heck. So washed the hair and even put on some makeup (per Mark Evans) and even got a compliment from the kids. So after being picked up, I was out on the town. Great dinner and drinks with some great frineds and I thank them very much. I even felt a little normal for a day and I appreicate them all getting me out. I owe you all! Next step on the journey of  NORMAL (whatever that means for us). The best part is I love all my friend and family very much!!! Thank you all for sticking with me and please continue to and please feel free to drag me out like that again, all of you!!! Even got a hug from the Ironside family and figured out what a small world we live in. GOD puts people in our lives for reasons, sometimes just to keep us going forward and appreicate all the people that are still in our lives and the one's we have yet to meet.  I can't promise Miss Coni will always be this positive so please feel free to kick my butt when I am not! Love You All!

First Night Home Again, Sept 7, 2011

Got home about 7:30, in time to see the family and play a couple games, enjoyed it. From there it didn't get better since I only got 3 hours sleep again last night for the third night in a roll. We don't know if it is the medicine they have me on but I it doesn't make me feel strong, maybe I should have stayed another night that they said I could but just wanted to get home. Having a hard time understanding that the first six weeks I felt better then I do now, but I understand my body is not the same. Please pray for me and some rest so I can stay home and healthy. Bladder test is still scheduled for September 13th and the Fixator is due off September 20th and I prayer I am strong and ready for rehab then.
Love U All!

This is a journey us Anderson's would never have imaged that we would be on but we will make Derek so proud of each of us as we take it one step at a time with the support of Family & Friends. Derek has taught us all so much, and he's looking down on us now as we begin this journey & we will have hard days but we will also laugh & smile again never as we did with him but it will happen & he will be praising God everyday for us! Dedicated to My Soul Mate & the man who completed me & made me who I am today. I will always love you & see you again!
